This hard volcanic growing medium is not widely used in the UK yet. it is fairly light & very free draining yet has the capacity to hold good amounts of moisture within the structure of the grains. Far better than traditional granite or silica based drainage mediums, which do not dissipate water well. Neutral in PH with virtually no inherent nutrients. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A GRADED JAPANESE PRODUCT (AROUND 2MM-5MM), WITHOUT THE LARGE AMOUNT OF FINES OFTEN SEEN IN CHEAPER PUMICE SOLD BY OTHER RETAILERS.
